Start from the station at Marks Tey and after a section on roads, turn off through fields to arrive at Copford Green. From here, after another section of road and more field-paths, you reach Easthorpe and then turn back through more fields to reach the A12 and walk beside it on a good footpath back to your start point.

Rewalked after a year and enjoyed the walk. There are a few updates apart from the ones in my previous comments, which are at waymark 3 you now head straight across a ploughed field to a footbridge, cross it,turn left, then right to reach the path through the hedge before the pond.At the end waymark 4,the path across the field has been ploughed over.At waymark 5 the 30mph sign has been removed. At the end of waymark 6 the old inn sign is no longer there. The instructions at waymark 8 are wrong, here are the correct ones.Leave the drive just before the farmhouse crossing a plank bridge on your left.Follow the field edge with a ditch on your right to the corner.Turn right, head to the next corner and turn left, heading away from the farmhouse. Now follow this track to a crossing of paths.Take the path ahead which is slightly on the right following a left hand field edge towards a black barn conversion.Just before the property, turn left through a hedge to join a concrete drive.Follow this to the A12 dual carriage way.Turn right on the footpath beside the road, and re trace your steps back to the station

A very nice walk, quite a bit of road walking, but they are quiet country lanes, apart from the return to the Station alongside the A12.Worked out at 6 miles as stated Quite a few updates are required, which are,at waymark 2,the pond is now dried up. At waymark 3,turn left before the pond through the hedge At waymark 4 before you reach the road, you now have to pass through a side way to a private house.Further on as the road turns sharp left, there is now a visible path across the field. At waymark 6,there is no visible path where you bear right across the field, head for the large tree on the end of the hedgerow, you can see a marker post beside it. Also the marker post where you go right across the field is laying in the ditch, you can see the marker post on the otherside of the field by the road, head for that as there is no visible path to be found. At waymark 8,when the track swings left from the farm, you turn left over a footbridge before the pond
