The walk begins in the National Trust car park in Marsden and uses the canal to go eastwards. From here a short climb to the north brings you to old tracks running above the valley. One stiff climb is needed before a gentle descent to the museum and cafe on the canal, which is followed back to the town. There are few stiles and great views and I found the town itself very interesting and very welcoming.
