From the little beach and surfing resort of Porth Mawgan we make our way up the picturesque wooded valley to reach the charming and popular village of St Mawgan. After exploring this attractive place we climb out through the church grounds and follow the ridge above and parallel to the valley we walked out along. Next we descend to the valley bottom and cross two fords before climbing up again. Within 300 metres we are back on our outward route and have only to retrace our footsteps to the start.

Lovely walk. The cafe at waymark 4 is fabulous with spectacular views run by a lovely friendly couple. We found the loop around the farm while good we needed repellent in July. The Merrymoor and the beach are both fabulous to spend the rest of the day and very dog friendly.
