This is a walk undertaken not just for the purpose of 'bagging' Corbetts, though as bagging trips go it's a fairly straightforward one, but also for the views over Drumochter, Loch Garry and the Rannoch Hills that are afforded (on a good day) from this summit.

The walk is straightforward and contains no hidden dangers; however, this remains a high mountain and appropriate clothing should be taken and an ability to navigate in low visibility is a must. As you can see from the photos in this walk the hills around Drumochter are popular for ski mountaineering and my friend Steve skied all the way up and down this mountain.

The walk can be done as a half-day walk on its own or joined with Walk 6798, The Sow of Atholl, to give a two-Corbett day walk.
