This is a walk along the Mells and Vallis Rivers, finishing across fields on the edge of Frome. These valleys are very peaceful but belie their industrial past. Near Waymark 2 is the chance to explore the remains of Fussells Ironworks and the middle part of the walk is along railway tracks once used for hauling limestone from this area.

This is a lovely walk. It is almost all on the level. I walked with my two children aged 7 & 9, who thoroughly enjoyed it. Take the time to see the iron works they are amazing.
