This walk has so much variety that it does not fit any single category. The interest of the River Deben with its boatyards, sailing clubs and tidemill is followed by a short section through NT woodland, then a walk through the pretty and delightfully interesting small town of Woodbridge. After this you follow some good farmland paths and passing large fishing lakes, eventually return to the riverside where another short stroll beside the Deben returns you to your start point. This is a (free) parking and picnic area, adjacent to the River Deben and ponds with a variety of waterfowl. Melton Railway Station is also close by.
