Nice leisurely easy walk, clear route to follow. ?? Parking at the nature reserve is £2.

Surprisingly nice walk through a varied landscape. Some great views over open countryside, skeins of geese flying over, Buzzards over the woods, Kestrels hunting over the fields. Mere Sands WLT reserve is a hidden gem; good for a couple of hours at the end. Don't forget the binoculars and be aware the nature reserve car park can be very busy on Sundays. Parking at Rufford Old Hall is very expensive.

Mere Sands wood is difficult to find off the A59. Look for the Cattery Sign as described at waypoint 15.

Did this walk today and enjoyed it a lot. Good directions and easy flat walking.
