This breathtaking walk begins in the quaint Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey with its busy, working harbours and colourful fishing boats. Here we can enjoy a few moments in its unique atmosphere and many small shops, perhaps even visiting the museum or aquarium on the harbour, before we walk up the ancient, narrow lanes between the old fishermen's cottages to join the coast path.
This leads us along the clifftops and through beautiful countryside, with many scenic coastal views along the way. Towards the end of our journey our walk takes us along a pleasant track near the Lost Gardens of Heligan, before leading us back to the start of this captivating walk.
The Heligan road section is about 500 metres and can be busy at holiday periods due to the 'Lost Gardens', so it is recommended to walk facing the oncoming traffic. Because of this road section of this walk is not recommended for children or dogs in busy holiday periods, but at other times it can be quite quiet.
