An enjoyable walk through farm and woodland in the hills around the Hamble Valley, which apart from two good uphill climbs is fairly undemanding. If you have time to spare at the end of the walk, visit the much-photographed Hambledon Lock on the River Thames or the lovely village of Hambledon itself, with its beautiful brick and flint cottages and 14th Century church. The Stag & Huntsman public house in the village serves food and has a large garden at the rear.

I chose this walk as the forecast was for rain coming in later in the day; it was the perfect length and rain avoided. The walk guidance was excellent and as a visitor to the area certainly a great advertisement.
