Morella – Tossal de Barra circular

Beginning at the aqueducts just to the north of Portal Sant Miguel, the main town entrance, we make our way along a redundant lane to the other old aqueduct nearby. From here we follow an established PR route that will take up a scenic path to the ruin of the farm Torre del Posso from where we will make our way on unmarked tracks across breathtaking countryside to the farm Mas de Palau. We join a delightful ancient way taking us generally south and so link up with a trail that has been marked with white bar marks. This coincides with our planned route and brings us down the course of a steep stream bed with Morella majestically in view ahead. Eventually we reach the little tarmac lane which we follow briefly. Soon we leave it to follow a charming footpath route up a steep valley to arrive back at the aqueduct we started out from.
