The route takes us through the tranquil broad leaved woodlands along the banks of the River Wansbeck, from the busy bustling town of Morpeth to the Weir just outside of the quite village of Bothal, before returning along the opposite banks via fields and further woodland with the sounds of nature accompanying us along our way.

Lovely walk along the river and then across fields - excellent! Please note that the first few instructions , 5 I think, are the first half of the walk so you shouldn't panic that you've gone the wrong way.
