Moulton is only a small village and this walk explores the whole area. Starting off at the village church, this route crosses farm fields to join a path through a small cul-de-sac round to the north side of the village. It is believed that during the Medieval Period there may have been a castle in this area, although no evidence remains.
The path heads along the River Kennet to the Pack-horse Bridge, which is a real historical feature on this walk. The bridge was constructed in the 15th Century and was part of the old Cambridge to Bury St Edmunds route. Now managed by English Heritage, the bridge is in great condition and an information board provides walkers with more information.
The route then returns to the church via field-paths and a small hill offering lovely views over the whole area.
