The walk starts close to the banks of the pretty Bradiford Water but as soon as you leave Muddiford it becomes Colum Stream. The walk takes you through the hamlets of Whiddon, Middle Marwood, Guineaford and Kingsheanton. You pass Marwood church and also Marwood Hill Gardens, renowned for its collections of camelias. These gardens have a tea rooms and in the summer, if you're lucky, you can enjoy the cream tea served by the Marwood Church ladies in the church hall. Marwood is the parish that covers these villages and hamlets.
