This very short walk is intended simply to visit the site of one of the poems by Simon Armitage carved on a slab of rock (see below). The walk starts by a gate off a minor road and follows a track between old quarry workings as far as a special Stanza Stones marker. This leads to a prominent cairn just below which are the two slabs of stone on which the poem has been carved. There are extensive views from the cairn, more than justified by the little effort taken to get there.
