There are many opportunities for birdwatching on this walk. In the RSPB reserve there is a number of hides. Cannop Ponds are home to a large breeding flock of mandarin ducks and at the arboretum the local RSPB has erected the largest bird-feeder known to exist. They hope to attract the secretive hawfinch to feed here. The walk is on good paths, but allow plenty of time for birdwatching.

This was a really lovely walk in the beautiful Forest of Dean. The car parking was easy, the paths good, and it was really easy to follow. We did this on a glorious autumn day, and the colours were amazing. Great walk !!!
