This is a pleasant walk along country lanes and tracks and beside the River Waveney, that path being part of the long distance one, Angles Way. The route takes you through the Castle Marsh Nature Reserve where many birds overwinter, flying from Iceland and northern Europe. In summer other birds can be seen, also many butterflies and dragonflies. The Three Horse Shoes Inn is a very popular venue for food and the thatched church has 13th Century wall paintings (sadly this is now kept locked).

January 2007- Very pleasant walk for a cold but dry weekend. Good clear directions. At point 3 to 4 extensive river bank works are causing muddy diversions (due to finish Sept 2006 but still a lot to be done). Unfortunately church is now kept locked so unable to see wall paintings.
