From one pretty Oxfordshire village to another, this is a superb walk through some wonderful scenic countryside, with plenty to delight the eye. Starting from The Blinking Owl pub in North Newington, where the cottages, some thatched, are of the ginger-coloured Hornton Stone, the route takes the walker through beautiful rural settings to visit nearby Wroxton. This idyllic village is enchanting, with its duck-pond in the centre and picturesque dwellings that are so pleasing to the eye. Along footpaths and bridleways, quiet lanes and minor roads, the surrounds are continually changing and surprise the onlooker with fresh pictures to admire and captivate.
