We used the route but parked and started from Little Melton. We used the closed part of School Lane to walk Eastwardsto Colney, rather than using the planned roads, crossing the A47 on foot was a lot easier than expected and the old road still easily walkable. The extra short distance we now had to walk along the B1108 was uncomfortable without a pavement in heavy traffic. Ditto walking along 'New Road' from Bowthorpe to Bawburgh, we suspect there is more vehicular traffic these days. We generally enjoyed the walk even though there was more road/pavement than we prefer. Kings Head in Bawburgh was open mid-afternoon when we got there, enjoyed drinks in the sun...
