Starting from the village of Oakridge Lynch, the walk passes through relatively unfrequented countryside and attractive hamlets to the south and east of Bisley. After a downhill stretch through a woodland nature reserve, and a short walk along a quiet road at the valley bottom, the route goes gently uphill across wildflower meadows. The middle section of the walk is mostly level along easy farm tracks between villages, partly through fields with distant views, and partly through patches of woodland. About half-way round you reach a sloping meadow with beautiful views which is a great place for a picnic. The route then follows a tiny stream through grassy meadows before climbing gently back up to arable fields near Bisley. The return route is initially along level paths, with some more up and down hill as you approach Oakridge.
