This walk through an organic farm leads the walker through mixed woodland, peaceful pastures and a quiet valley bursting with all forms of flora and fauna. After leaving your car, you will cross a quiet country road and passing the visitor centre, shop and restaurant.
There is a zigzag, downhill path to the nature reserve, where you begin to follow the easy tracks around this tranquil location. You will soon notice, as you walk along, the many varieties of trees that are often filled with birdsong and many wildflowers that have adopted the meadow. The easy walking along well-marked paths ensures that you have time to watch for the changes in nature - instead of where you are putting your feet!
All too soon you will have returned to the farm. Perhaps you have already taken time to enjoy a picnic; if not, you may wish to refresh yourself at the restaurant. There is a hide in the woods where the visitor may watch unnoticed the many birds. Be sure to make friends with the gentle Ruby cattle before you return to the car park and begin your journey home - eager to visit again.
Please note that as this is a Nature reserve - dogs are not allowed.
