This largely level walk is almost entirely on farm tracks and old lanes, one of the driest walks I have done in a wet winter. Good views of the nearer hills open up from time to time and you are not likely to meet many other walkers except in Ruff Wood itself. There are some very pretty sections on the walk, with plenty of daffodils in spring.

Just got back from this walk today with our two Labs. Lovely sunny, cold day but we were expecting it to be muddy after all the recent rain. Good job we were prepared and had worn our wellies as it was really boggy in places. Great walk for the dogs as they got some off lead time and easy to follow directions so we didn't go wrong once. An easy walk but we still felt like we deserved our pub lunch afterwards :)

Enjoyed this easy walk a few weekends ago. As mentioned in the walk description, it is a quiet walk - we didn't really meet any other people apart from in Ruff Wood, so this is always a bonus. Instructions were easy to follow and the entire walk was very dog friendly. Probably one of my favourite, easy walks.
