An easy circular walk from Paxford which explores some quieter North Cotswold paths and minor roads around Northwick and Draycott. The walk offers some great wooded sections, country views, and points of interest, including the Watsonian Motorcycle and Sidecar Company at Northwick Business Centre, which is a dealership for Royal Enfield motorcycles, now imported from India. The company was included in the TV programme 'Hidden Villages' (Cotswolds) presented by Penelope Keith. Also within Northwick Business Centre, the walk passes a Polish monument to commemorate the Polish ex-servicemen who lived here with their families from 1948 to 1970.

We made the most of the late autumn sunshine this weekend to enjoy a couple of walks found on Walking World. The directions for this walk were exceptionally clear and detailed, we couldn't put a foot wrong. The route takes in a variety of terrain; woodland, quiet roads, fields and even an industrial estate (but picturesque in its own way and home to some classic old bikes!). The Cotswold villages are always lovely but come in to their own in the fading sunshine so these were a particular treat. My GPS track had the walk length as actually closer to 11km but was comfortably done in about 3 hours, including a stop.
