The majority of this walk is along the beautiful North Cornwall coast. This scenic walk gives the walker a choice of where to begin, but no matter what the choice, the walker will not be disappointed. From the preferred start point, the coast path leads you down past a small sandy cove called Pentireglaze Haven, before it climbs upwards to Pentire Point. After taking in the stunning views from its top over Polzeath Bay and maybe a picnic, the coast path rounds the point and takes you by picturesque coves down a detour to the rocky double outcrop known as The Rumps, which is worth exploring and where you may glimpse a seal or two. Following the coast path once more, we turn inland and through farmland for a while before climbing to Com Head - another viewpoint. The climb is quite steep on this section, but it is well worth the energy for the stunning views over the bay once you have reached the top. A little further along, we leave the coast path to turn inland once more through the Lead Mines NT car park. Following the road through a small set of farm buildings and up a hill brings you to a farm track leading through fields back down to Pentireglaze Haven. Here, hot feet may be refreshed by a cooling paddle in the sea, before returning to the starting point, feeling relaxed.
