The Elan Valley is Wales' own Lake District. The area was flooded to provide water for Birmingham's growing population, but it now gives pleasure to thousands who come to enjoy the peace and the red kites. On this walk there are two short sharp climbs, but there are wonderful views as well as the chance to enjoy plenty of birdlife.
