This circular walk starts and ends at Plumpton Green Railway Station, which has a frequent train service (London Victoria to Eastbourne line). There are a number of pubs in Plumpton that serve good food; my favourite is the Fountain Inn. The walk is across fields and through the woods to the north-east of Plumpton Green. There are quite a few stiles but no steep ascents or descents. The fields around are grazed by sheep, cows and even alpacas.

Middle Home Wood is bordered by old hornbeams whose shape shows that they were once laid as a boundary hedge. The wood is very good for bluebells in late spring. Look out (and listen) for buzzards circling overhead as you approach the wood.
