Port Quin is a stunning little village on the cornish coast. There are no shops or facilities but the setting is majestic and one of the most spectacular places to visit. This route makes the most of the South West Coast Path and open access land.

The route starts by following the Coastal Path north of Port Quin with breathtaking views back to the tiny village and also across to Doyden House and the beautiful Doyden Castle. Kellan Head is passed and views now extend for miles along the coast north to Tintagel.

Returning is via a minor summit with excellent 360 degree views of this beautiful part of Cornwall.

This is a lovely walk with great views of Port Quin and the rugged coast line but the first mile should not really be classed as a gentle stroll. The coastal path section of the walk has some steep stepped ascents and descents which for anyone with knee or joint problems may be a struggle. Also my GPS measured the walk at 1.9 miles.
