From a roadside parking area just to the north of Porthcurno, our way takes us generally westwards through cattle and arable farmland to reach the beautiful open heathland of Carn Glaze, an RSPB protected area. Our next stage is a truly picturesque coastal path leg undulating its way round Gwennap Head to descend into charming Porthgwarra (see additional information). Climbing away, we continue the spectacular path to pass south of St Levan and arrive at the world-famous Minack open air theatre. A steep stepped descent brings us down to the beautiful Porthcurno beach which we skirt to the north. We climb out of the beach area and very soon leave the coastal path to head northwards along a charming green lane to Trendrennan Farm. Now we have a simple cross-country leg to reach the Porthcurno road next to the Telegraph Museum and a few hundred metres up this road we are back at the car.

Check walked 10 September 2020. I am afraid that there has been loss of stiles and removal of signage in the early part of this walk. Please read Additional Information before you set out - I have had to alter descriptions and have recommended a revised route. Now corrected, the walk is a beauty with much interest. Jim Arymar
