The route is easy to follow, in spite of little temporary disappearances of the path...where it peters out just follow the shoreline to pick it up again. The first quarter of a mile will be muddy in wet weather, so boots / wellies are advised.
At Waymark 07 the path going up from the shore is overgrown by whins and not easy to find; but it's only 25m long so if you don't see it you can force a way up to the upper path. The route after Waymark 11 depends on the tide, see the waymark text.
The views are superb at every step. Refreshments are available in Portmahomack and the Pictish Museum there is well worth a visit.
This walk may be joined to Walk 3030 to make an eight mile circular route.
