This easy walk can be coupled with a visit to Portmeirion. It has easy walking with one climb after Waymark 06 and the views are good. If you time your walk to coincide with the Festiniog Train timetable, there are opportunities for train-spotting.

Great walk. Two comments. First the "quiet country road" is used by lorries going to and from the quarry. It was quite busy when we walked it (which was admittedly a week day). Second, at step 5, we couldn't find warning signs for a toll. Rather than look for those, look for a path with a bridle way sign on the opposite side of the road opposite a lay-by cum car park. That's the path the photo is of.
