Starting off near the medieval bridge in the centre of Potter Heigham, this walks heads down Bridge Road towards the post office and then down a country lane towards a well-known mill. The route heads into the woodlands and marshes that surround this corner of Potter Heigham and which help construct the beautiful scenery in this area.
For the next kilometre or so the walk borders a small, long section of woodlands and open fields. The path gently undulates and meanders the closer you get to the river and offers more ground-level scenery.
The last section of the walk heads along a path behind the riverside cottages. Rather than offering riverside scenery, the eyes are diverted to the marshes to the left because the path is slightly higher. This higher walk broadens the views back towards the old brick mill, down Mill Road.
Just before arriving back to the busy shops and waterways at Potter Heigham, a bridge is crossed. This is where the general view picture was taken and offers one of the best views of the medieval bridge and some of the surrounding marshes.
