The walk goes from Haslam Park, not far from the centre of Preston and follows the Lancaster Canal which it leaves by the Ribble Millennium Link, opened in 2002. This is followed as far as is permitted and is left for open country on the edge of the Fylde. Some quiet lanes are among the mixed terrain covered before a return by the Lancaster Canal.

We did this walk on Sunday the 12.06.11, good walk a bit of everything. A really good walk. Barbara & Jeff Howcroft and of course Millie the dog

6/22/2004 - Michael and Marian Vaughn

We are very familiar with this part of the canal as not having transport we can access the start of it at Preston on foot and it is about a mile and a half to Haslam Park. Enjoyed this - lovely circular taking in fields and paths new to us. Easy to follow.
