Save Our Footpaths - get off the beaten track. This circular walk is along footpaths south of Mollington which are not often used. The route is mainly through meadows and fields with crops but also includes a few delightful surprises such as walking round a crochet lawn with garden ornaments and even a bench seat; others you can discover for yourself. All of the stiles and kissing gates are in good order, but the route is overgrown in a few places with nettles and brambles (so taking secateurs would be good). However, there is a lot of rough meadow and long grass which will slow your progress. There are lots of trees and a few very short woody sections. Most of the footpaths are invisible and you are kept on route by the section descriptions, assisted by the yellow arrow footpath direction markers on styles and gates - only one was missing. In a few places the route differs from footpaths marked on the map. There's a variety of rare breed farm animals in some of the meadows you walk through, (photo on the right).

The walk is suitable for teenagers, senior citizens and anyone in-between, but unfortunately no good for dogs unless you can lift them over the stiles, and hopeless for wheelchairs and buggies. The walk will require the use of boots, especially if there has recently been heavy rain, in which case much of the route could be muddy with numerous puddles. Having noted the nettles and brambles avoid wearing shorts. There are several bench seats which may be placed for the use of walkers where the route passes part-fenced through private gardens, but there are no refreshments, toilets or picnic tables.
