Ratley - Hornton - Ratley

Start this walk near the church in Ratley, walking up through the village before climbing the hill to the south. From here there are splendid views. Descend and climb up again to the rear of Uplands House and Farm, descending into the picturesque village of Hornton. It is worth a visit to the church, with its excellent example of a Doom painting. The Dun Cow pub is worth a visit, but you will have to notify the landlady on 01295-670524 since they don't open lunchtimes except on request for ramblers. The pub is the largest wholesaler of mead in the country. The return to Ratley is via farm track and fields with good views.
