Readymoney Cove (Fowey) to Polridmouth Bay

This picturesque circular walk starts from Readymoney car park, just outside the small fishing village of Fowey. After walking down to the cove, we follow an ancient footpath through woods, before going over lush Cornish meadows. We now descend to the quiet cove of Polridmouth, which is an ideal place to rest and enjoy a picnic. From the cove we now ascend through woodland to the coast path with its many stunning views. Nearing the conclusion of our walk, we again enter woodland and there is an opportunity to visit the well-preserved St Catherine's Castle with its superb views of the river, Fowey and Polruan.

Excellent walk. All directions still good. Great views justify one or two steep hills. Nice little shop at Readymoney Cove. Easy walk from Fowey to save parking. Just right for a morning stroll then a pasty for lunch!

What a fantastic walk, the views are stunning and the house at waypoint 16 is a dream. The directions are easy to follow and the stiles did not present any problems for our large Golden Retrievers.
