This great walk explores a section of the River Yare to the west of Reedham, almost as far as Cantley. This area is home to a huge selection of wildlife including some rare birdlife such as marsh harriers. The halfway marker along the river section is a solitary mill known as Limpenhoe Drainage Mill. The mill is in a very sorry state but some of the inner workings are still intact. The mill was built in 1831 and has been recently purchased with the intention of restoration.
The last stretch of the walk offers some of the most extensive views available in the area. The route finds some higher ground (about 40ft) above the marshes. The views stretch for miles to the south, with a few landmarks seen on the horizon miles in the distance.
