Beginning at the Information Centre at Rhos you go eastwards along the promenade past Colwyn Bay Pier and Old Colwyn. At the end of the promenade the road turns under a railway bridge and the walk continues along a path next to the railway. Newly constructed sections go along the cliffs at Llanddulas to the station at Pensarn, where the walk may be shortened by taking a train back to Colwyn Bay. It then goes past all the resorts on the coast to Rhyl, sometimes close to them and at other points further away. In Rhyl follow the signs to the railway station, passing the marine lake. A taxi, bus or train may be taken back if you do not have a car at each end.
