Rhostryfan - near Tryfan Junction - Rhostryfan

The walk starts at a car park which is just near the site of the closed Rhostryfan railway station. The railway was a narrow gauge line used by the quarries higher up the hillside. It is now a good footpath and we use a part of it for the start of the walk.
The higher parts of the walk allow views out to Caernarfon and Anglesey.
The walk uses paths which can be wet and muddy, although the old railway path is a good surface.
