This wonderful seven-mile circular walk begins at Ridgegate Reservoir and goes past the visitor centre at Trentabank Reservoir, where there are toilets and more parking. Then we head up through the forest to high moor and Shutlingsloe Hill, giving us a true 360-degree view. Views earned, we head all the way down to the picturesque Clough Brook, then skirt Piggford Moor and head to Oakenclough, before heading back on a quiet lane to the forest.

Fabulous walk on a beautiful early autumn day. Clear navigation and stunning views all round, especially from the top of Sutlingsloe Hill. We parked along the roadside in a marked bay at waymark 3 and started our walk from here. The pub is now open (limited times) at waymark 15.

Walked May 2020. No navigation issues - the walk is well signposted with clear paths. Popular spot on good weather days so get there early to secure a parking space. Very enjoyable circuit with fantastic views from Sutlingsloe - recommend taking a pair of binoculars! Great wildlife en route. We saw hares, kestrel, buzzards, hawks, lapwing, curlew and skylarks.
