This is one of the classic walks of the Cazorla Park. Starting from the Rio Borosa information centre, it climbs up the entire length of the gorge, going over the very pretty cantilevered boardwalk section of le Cerrada de Elias to the impressive limestone cirque at the head of the gorge. The path then climbs to the top of the hydro-electric system, following the outfall through the mountain to the dam and Laguna de Valdeazores, visiting if you wish the source of the black waters. You return by the same route but this only doubles the enjoyment; a wonderful day's walking and a great introduction to the area.

A great walk, bring your bathers and rest your tired legs in one of the lovely river pools on the way down!

A small torch would be useful to negotiate the tunnel at point 11 on the guide map.
