Route begins from southernmost car park of Beacon Country Park, Upholland. This 300-acre park has nature trails, picnic areas and refreshments all easily accessible from the M6 and M58. From the park the route makes its way downhill to Dean Brook with good views east to Winter Hill. Upon reaching Dean Brook the route follows the west bank of the brook through woodland before ascending over farmland to Roby Mill with refreshment options. From here the routs heads to Ashurst Beacon, which offers good views west over River Mersey and Wales. Final section of walk descends back via woodland paths to the country park and the starting point.

I did this walk today 26/08/2021. Great walk some muddy sections, quite bad alongside the Brook. I would suggest the next car park down as a starting point as the one mentioned appears to be a male meeting point.
