The hardest work is done in the first half, with plenty of wide views. Foel Cwmcerwyn is the highest peak in the Preseli Hills. Though the trig point is only a modest 536 metres, the views of the Presilies are wide-sweeping, showing many cairns asking for investigation.

A super walk for a clear fine day - the 360 degree panorama from the top of Cwmcerwyn is terrific. The layby in the first photograph has been 'improved'. It is now smaller with kerbs and has room for only two or three cars - but parking in Rosebush village is good. The directions are clear but most of the mature trees have been felled and areas replanted - this is an ongoing process.
