The walk starts in the centre of a most delightful village where all amenities are to hand. The first part is climbing, but once off the metalled road, the true beauty of this walk becomes apparent. As the walker progresses over moor and through forest there's a chance to see deer and red squirrel. If they are not observed the walker will still be rewarded by the magnificent views.

Did this walk on the 23rd November 2022.Great walk easy to follow but between way-marks 16 and 17 its very overgrown and has a 6 foot drop at one point.

Hi, at way mark 7 we could not see a Cairn. Perhaps it has been dismantled? We continued past the red stone track and doubled back when we realised this. Otherwise fab. NJ.

Superb walk. We walked this on 21.3.14. We were lucky to have clear blues skies and sunshine affording far reaching views. Great!

Did this delightful walk on 19/05/2011. The right turn at Way-point 3 is easy to miss - we continued straight ahead to Physic Lane, turned right, and eventually rejoined the recommended route. At least doing it this way we got to see a good display of bluebells!
