The walk begins by following the River Clwyd northwards to the village of Rhewl and the Drovers' Arms. From there a track leads up into woodland and then down again to Lady Bagot's Drive alongside the Afon Clwyedog to the hamlet of Bont Uchel. A steep, but short, climb leads to a series of tracks, field-paths and lanes to the outskirts of Ruthin, with a very short walk through the streets back to the start at the Craft Centre. The river walk and the woodland are delightful, while at the start and end of the walk there are outstanding views of the Clwydian Range of hills.

Did this walk on 14th June 2019. I defy anyone to get lost. The walk description is faultless. I logged 8.4 miles on my GPS. Way point 6 is now a kissing gate. Waypoint 31 is now a new metal stile & clearly visible. Waypoint 37 exit is now to the right of the field. I will certainly do this walk again in the future. Thanks Jim Grindle
