You've seen the film, looked at the calendar - now do the walk! Rylstone is the origin of all those tasteful nude calendars, which began with the WI here. The walk links three Dales villages by following a stream on the outward leg and returning by track and field towards a skyline dominated by the Cracoe Village war memorial on top of the fells. Even the wet start we had didn't spoil our pleasure.

A very pretty walk. However many of the instructions were confusing, missing, wrong and often irrelevant (I don't care if the weather changed at a particular point, I want to know where to go next). I managed to navigate the route by using a map rather than the instructions, and I would recommend that others do the same.
