The route of this walk warrants a number of superlatives in three respects. The paths, views and signposting throughout are excellent! There is variety too during the walk and at one stage you pass close to the former home of the first man to be awarded the Victoria Cross twice. Another walk we intend soon to add will take you past this fine Victorian house and offer the opportunity to visit the grave of its former owner.

To assist your satnav in finding the church at Sacombe, it is called St Catherine's. Google Maps recognises it.

Just to clarify: at the start of the walk, go downhill from the church car park and turn left up the slope. The walk is enjoyable, well signed and with good instructions.
