The walk to the waterfall reveals the hidden jewel of Santa Barbara, Loja. During the summer months this is an excellent place to take a stroll, picnic and perhaps take a cooling swim in the crystal-clear water of the lagoon. This walk can be a gentle stroll of 2.3km, an easy walk of 2.9km or a moderate walk of 6.5km. All three walks include the cascade. The gentle stroll to the cascade and returning to the parking are along the same track through olive fields Waymarks 1 to 4 only and return, crossing a stream twice. The easy walk takes you to the cascade but on the return journey, where Waymark 17 crosses the path, turn right down to the river crossing of Waymark 18 and follow from there; three easy stream crossings for this option. On the moderate walk you negotiate two fences, long climbs and three easy stream crossings.
