You will visit Saunton, Croyde, Baggy Point and Putsborough. You should have views across the huge estuary of the Taw and Torridge Rivers to Instow, Appledore, Westward Ho! and even as far as Bideford. Seaward, the views will include the coast past Clovelly to Hartland Point and Lundy Island in the west.

Closer at hand will be the strange landscape (almost lunar in certain lights) of Braunton Burrows. Also visible will be Saunton Down, Croyde Bay, Morte Bay, Woolacombe Sand and Woolacombe. Just past Croyde you will pass the bony remains of a very large whale which was washed up on Croyde beach in 1915. All in all then, a varied and interesting walk!
