Sedbury - Tidenham - Sedbury via Offa's Dyke Path

Offa's Dyke Path is a national trail, 176 miles long, that follows the English - Welsh border and the route of Offa's Dyke, an 8th Century earthwork built on the orders of Mercian King Offa, that separated England from Wales.

The walk follows the first few miles of the path from its start at Sedbury Cliffs, above the River Severn, close to the Wye Estuary and Severn Bridge. The route stays close to the River Wye and there are several great views across to the Wye Valley from the clifftops above the river. Leaving Offa's Dyke Path to return to the start, the walk heads back through the picturesque village of Tidenham. There are several great views in the opposite direction across the Severn on the way back.

Tidenham is well known for its very deep diving lake, in the remains of a quarry. It also has Britain's longest zip wire across the length of the lake. It is quite expensive, but you could include this within the walk if you so wished.
