From the Hermitage Santa Leocadia we head east and are soon following an ancient watercourse through pine forest. Later we branch off onto the way known as Senda de las Alguerias and continue to reach the Senda Del Lentrisco, which we follow northwards. This part of the hike up to Collado del Pilon forms part of Walk 7228 but in the opposite direction. Eventually we reach the old plaster mines at Collado Del Pilon (see additional information). Now we join the Senda Del Purgatorio and follow this attractive way south-west until we eventually emerge into open farming countryside full of olive and apricot trees. Our way concludes with an easy ramble along a country lane which brings us back to the start near the little hermitage.
