I'm sorry to say this wasn't the most interesting of walks. So many field edges, and some of the paths have disappeared through the farms.

Not a bad walk,a bit tedious in places, but nevertheless was a nice day and enjoyed the sun.Perfect walk instructions, also made it 10 miles. Just a few updates,at Waymark 1,there is no visible path diagonally left across the field, the farmer had newly planted crops,so i walked around the edge to reach the far corner. At waymarks 5 & 6,both stiles have now gone.

Tried this walk today. Started well, but the path that "climbs slightly and meanders through an area of bracken (Sodom and Gomorrah)" turned out to be a wade through about 200 yards of chest high nettles! We ended up cutting the walk short (5.5 miles) as we were in so much pain!

Completed this walk on New Year's Day 2012. Wonderful walk and highly recommended. Look out for the gorgeous little cottage called 'Tea Caddy Cottage along the road at waymark 7. It is a listed building that is currently undergoing a revamp. The village of Shelley is a truly beautiful place. Saving up my pennies now to move there....Tee Hee. From Shelley and Paul Rowland
